MSG Hamilton

MSG Derrick Hamilton began his career in 1992 and retired after 20 years of active duty service in 2013 from Special Operations Command as a Civil

Affairs Generalist (38B). He currently has a Bachelor’s in Business Administration with Specialization in Project Management. He was assigned to various stateside, overseas and combat assignments to include Fort Campbell, KY; Fort Bragg, NC (United States Special Operations Command); Germany; Korea; Hawaii; Philippines; Iraq. He has participated in Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, and Operation New Dawn.

MSG Hamilton became a JROTC Instructor in 2015 in Fort Myers, FL (East Lee High School and Dunbar High School) before relocating to Huntsville, AL May 2017 in which he now instructs at Grissom High School. He challenges his cadets to abide by JROTC Cadet Creed and that “Choosing to Fail Should Never Be An Option!”.

Military Training and Schools include; Basic and Advanced Non-Commissioned Officers Course, Combat Life Saver Course, NBC (Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical) Course, Combatives Level 1, Equal Opportunity Leader Course, Primary Leadership Development Course, S.E.R.E. (Survival, Evasion, Resistance, Escape) School (High Risk), Airborne, Air Assault.
